Responsabilidades

• Support the implementation of activities for the establishment of field trials for efficacy testing under our own responsibility, in accordance with the annual trial planning and the instructions of the Biological Efficacy Evaluation Department for all sectors (Fungicides, Insecticides, Nematicides, Herbicides and Bio stimulants).
• Give recommendation for the good planning and implementation of the study protocol based on the inputs of project leaders, Research managers and Technical Managers, including timelines and cropping for the best success of the trials.
• Ensure the correct execution of the field trial and all related activities, including: To understand the trial objectives and proper standard methodologies. Support to prepare the relevant materials needed to carry out the trial. Support to search for the proper field for trial allocation and prepare the field plot design. Support to calculate the dose rate and to prepare the spray solution. To apply the products and the artificial inoculations/infestations. Support to evaluate the product performance according to agreed protocols and to register accurately the data in ARM.
• Provide critical analysis of the field trial data produced and a clear detailed final report.
• Use and maintain comprehensive database for archiving and sharing the produced information at request within the technical organization of the Company in alignment with agreed deadlines.
• Maintain and develop a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of research and developments techniques to ensure the best methods to carry out the trials of own responsibility (small plot, profiling, registration or demo trials).
• Develop and maintain contacts with local extension services and Research Institute to ensure the best practice for the implementation of the field trial work.
• Represent the organization at local meetings and events on technical issues, ensuring that a positive image of the Company is promoted.
• Ensure that the equipment and the facilities of the field station are well maintained following all safety measures for the conducting of the field trial work.
• Comply with internal and local regulations for the execution of officially recognized registration and residue trials (trial notification and yield destruction) inside the Testing Facility.
• Participate to the organization and execution of field trial visits for own trials in close collaboration with project leaders, research manager and technical manager.

Requisitos

• QUALIFICAÇÕES MÍNIMAS
  • A background education (high school or bachelor’s degree) in agriculture or biological science.
  • At least 2 years of experience in research trials for crop protection or agronomy.
  • Basic knowledge of the Crop Protection sector.
  • Accuracy and precision skills in all operational phases.
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Ability to work in autonomy according to the agreed planning.
  • Attitude for role often physically demanding and involving use of farm machinery and manual work.
  • Ability to work in unfavorable environmental conditions.
  • Available to stay sometimes far from home for short periods.
• QUALIFICAÇÕES PREFERENCIAIS
  • Ability for driving tractors and farming equipment is preferable.
