Responsabilidades

• Ensure top-notch quality: develop and implement QC procedures that meet all regulations and industry standards.
• Track key metrics to monitor product quality and consistency.
• Regular inspections and audits will catch any issues early on.
• Build and manage Brazil lab: oversee lab operations, including equipment maintenance and ensuring testing methods are accurate.
• Coordinate testing on all materials and products, analyzing data to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Rock-solid sample management: develop a system for tracking samples collected throughout production and testing.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation for complete traceability.
• Coordinate sample retrieval and distribution for internal testing, customer evaluations, and regulatory submissions.
• Prevent defects, optimize production: develop and maintain quality assurance programs to minimize waste and optimize production.
• Address quality issues proactively with corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Collaborate with other teams to tackle quality challenges and continuously improve.
• Stay compliant, ace audits: stay updated on regulations and ensure compliance through clear documentation.
• Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections, addressing any findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Supplier quality champion: evaluate supplier performance and conduct audits to maintain quality standards.
• Work with procurement to qualify new suppliers and monitor ongoing supplier performance.
• Quality knowledge master: train your QC team on procedures, analytical techniques, and regulations.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement through education and training initiatives.

Requisitos

• QUALIFICAÇÕES MÍNIMAS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
  • Experience in quality control/assurance roles within the food industry, with experience in Quality Pillar Management in systems like WCM, TPM, IWS, Lean.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, FSMA, HACCP) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, FSSC 22000).
  • Experience managing an analytical lab, including familiarity with analytical techniques and instrumentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Language: Portuguese and English.
• QUALIFICAÇÕES PREFERENCIAIS
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge in oils & essences process and food ingredient manufacturing is desirable.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and conducting supplier audits is preferred.
