Responsabilidades

  • Identify, value, negotiate and close structured transactions of environmental commodities and partnerships and potential joint ventures to grow and build carbon portfolio and capabilities in Latin America.
  • Lead opportunity identification, maturation, and delivery, building strong relationships with clients, such that they become sources of liquidity, margin and structure.
  • Develop internal and external relationships and network with traders, customers, organizations, consultants, and other key players / stakeholders to support the carbon-related trading and projects in Latin America.
  • Understanding compliance and voluntary markets integrating connections between these markets to capture opportunities across market mechanisms, geographies, methodologies, vintages, contract duration and type, with focus on Latin America.
  • Collaborate on the conceptualization and implementation of new products and services around carbon solutions and low-carbon products to be offered to customers in Latin America.
  • Identify, evaluate and conduct due diligence assessment of origination project opportunities across all carbon standards and methodologies with focus on agriculture-related project types.
  • Identify, analyze and develop products for key customers like carbon credits, carbon neutral ingredients, scope 3 claims and/or impact units.
  • Provide local market information on local market conditions, regulations, events, risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely together with local teams and the Global Carbon Solutions team and support origination, development and delivery of new businesses on both the supply and demand side of the portfolio.
  • Actively contribute to and participate as a “carbon expert” within company to embed carbon within the full value chain.
  • Organize / participate in internal workshops and presentations to transfer knowledge.
  • Participate in / contribute to other wide climate-related strategic initiatives.
  • Report to head of carbon solutions in Latin America.

Requisitos/Perfil Desejado

  • Direct commercial and technical work experience in the Carbon Trading markets and/or Carbon Project Development with a proven history of technical assessment and reviews, project certification and carbon credit issuance.
  • Proven success developing wholesale origination transactions.
  • Experience working with Latin America carbon market; connect regional carbon economics with global operations.
  • Experience sharing detailed perspectives on regional and global market factors, acting as an integral part of a corporate Carbon team and adding value and providing solutions.
  • Commercially focused individual who seeks to drive growth and deliver material new business within Environmental Product Markets.
  • Hands-on experience in collecting / managing / analyzing large volumes of data.
  • Proven capability to work under tight deadlines and often conflicting pressures, the candidate will be able to deliver to a high standard and with a clear focus on developing value proposition and commercial effectiveness.
  • A hunger for success, with front office experience and a strong track record of gross margin delivery in origination roles.
  • Strong relationship management skills and an ability to gain trust and build credibility at the most senior level internally and externally (EVPs, VPs, C-Suite).
  • An attention to detail, ensuring development of and adherence to robust systems that withstand internal and external scrutiny.
  • In-depth knowledge of carbon certification requirements and procedures.
  • Advanced English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or other relevant field of study required.
