Responsabilities

• Design, develop, implement, and execute the technical strategy necessary for product development, from SC2 to PCM4 yield trial testing through commercialization. This strategy must be aligned with product concepts and portfolio needs, ensuring genetic gain both in the short and long term for breeding pipelines;
• Collaborate with partners across Field Testing & Operations, Analytics & Pipeline Design, Product Design, Market Development, R&D, and Crop Product & Cluster Units to ensure the technical strategy for the development and deployment of new commercial products is effectively implemented;
• Support global product development pipelines within specific maturity zones;
• Assist in new product launches across branded and licensing businesses;
• Partner with global regions to drive innovation projects in Precision Breeding, with a focus on leveraging digital transformation and new technologies to drive genetic gain and enhance product performance;
• Promote and ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environment, Compliance, Business Conduct, and Human Rights policies and culture at the site;
• Facilitate the development and optimization of plant biology solutions and innovations for row crop breeding, in alignment with Precision Breeding strategies, to add value to the business.

Requirements

• PhD in Plant Breeding or related field, or MS with relevant experience
• Advanced English;
• Fluent Portuguese;
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, Portuguese and English, to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders;
• Knowledge of designing experiments and analyzing results to inform decision-making;
• Solid experience with data analysis;
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to achieve common goals;
• Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities facilitates solutions;
• Solid experience leading and influencing activities of cross functional teams without direct reporting relationships;
• Availability for domestic and international travel as required, with the flexibility to adjust schedules to accommodate business priorities and project timelines;
• Driver’s license (B).
