Responsibilidades

• Environmental Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international environmental laws and regulations.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and respond to inspections, audits, and information requests, representing the company legally in petitions and legal proceedings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure that all technical requirements for environmental licensing are met and maintained.
• Environmental Monitoring:
  • Ensure control and monitoring of critical environmental aspects of the industrial process, including industrial waste, atmospheric emissions, effluents, and water resources, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of measurements and controls.
  • To conduct environmental occurences response, including regist, actions, and failure analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Project Management and Innovation:
  • Lead the implementation of strategic environmental projects, such as emission reduction initiatives, waste management, and resource use optimization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement sustainable practices and technologies that contribute to reducing natural resource consumption, minimizing waste and emissions, and improving plant energy efficiency.
• Certification and Management Systems:
  • Support the certification process and maintenance of the industrial environmental management system (ISO 14001).
• Training and Development:
  • Develop and conduct ongoing training programs for employees on environmental practices and regulations, promoting a culture of environmental responsibility and ensuring adherence to environmental policies and procedures.
• Assessments and Sustainability Strategy:
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects, modifications, and expansions, ensuring that all environmental considerations are incorporated from the planning phase.
  • Support the company’s sustainability strategy, contributing to the achievement of  public commitment goals and other sustainability initiatives.
• Contract and Supplier Management:
  • Support the process of contracting technical services and environmental suppliers, including analysis, evaluation, and technical equalization of proposals, to ensure the selection of service providers that meet company standards.
• Resource and Budget Management:
  • Develop and execute the budget for environmental activities and projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost optimization.

Requisitos

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
• Postgraduate studies or specialization in related areas will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the pulp or chemical industry, with experience in managing environmental projects.
• Advanced English proficiency
• Willing to relocate to the job location.
