Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage extraordinary customer relationships;
• Provide ongoing crop scouting and in-field support of customer farms, to deeply understand plant health and development, and communicate to AEA agronomy team for collective decision-making;
• Perform early morning leaf sampling and testing throughout the crop season;
• Interpret multiple types of soil, plant sap, and water quality analysis to identify specific nutritional needs and opportunities coming from the field;
• Create agronomic recommendations and product application guidelines;
• Lead the resolution of any customer issues related to product usage or agronomy;
• Manage personal time and energy consciously and intentionally;
• Work within a collaborative team culture of remotely located team members;
• Constantly evaluate customer needs and build productive long-lasting relationships;
• Work with AEA management to build an exceptional customer experience;
• Other roles and responsibilities will be defined as the position develops.

Requirements

• Proven track record of building on-farm relationships with farm management and teams;
• Strong agronomic background, with experience in plant nutrition, soil science or other agriculture-related science — a technical understanding of plant nutrition is essential;
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture-related discipline, or significant experience in agriculture industry;
• Willingness to travel often with potentially intense seasonal hours;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Tech-savvy: must have a high-level working knowledge of basic digital platforms;
• Intimate knowledge of agriculture production practices;
• Alignment with the company’s mission and values.
